Our world is changing almost every day and so do our roads. After six months of collecting data we have finshed a new map update for the Philippines. As promised we are continuously working on more international maps. After the release of the first European countries more maps covering our neighbours in Asia are available. Read in this newsletter some more news about software updates and media coverage.

Summertime is traveltime and hopefully you have your carNAVi ready to guide you on your trip to the most famous vacation spots. Last month we started the release of the first maps for Europe. Recently we have added the Netherlands to our repertoire of free maps in the carNAVi Store and more have to come later this year.

Last newsletter we where asking about your opinion regarding the speed limit changes and the possibility of including such things into your carNAVi. We got a lot of positive feedback and so we are already working on an implementation of speed limit information for your carNAVi. More about this soon. Our team finished another regional map. Vietnam is quite new in the GPS market and carNAVi is very proud to be one of the first professional companies providing a GPS map for this wonderful country.

The year 2011 started already with changes for many drivers here in the Metro. Not only that fuel prices start again to reach record highs also the discussion and implementation of ‘real’ traffic rules has some impact on our driving. The latest speed limit on Philippines widest road – Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City – started a discussion in our team, if we shall implement overspeed warnings in our carNAVi navigation systems…

To make our system even better and more reliable, we have release the latest map update right now. This new map has fantastic improved routing, we have added thousands of contributions from our costumers and included the latest tricks in driving – especially in Metro Manila. Also Trans-Philippine highway travel is better than before!
